Jennie June Pence was born in Saint Francisville, Missouri, on March 17, 1933, to Adah Pence (1890 – 1978), and Clifford Pence (1903 – 1947). In May 1973, June met Rey Fackrell, they developed their friendship and affection for each other, and in the process she introduced him to Christianity. On November 30, 1973, Rey married June, with the ceremony held at College Avenue Baptist Church. At that time, Rey taught at Patrick Henry High School. In total, he taught in excess of 40 years throughout the San Diego community, and retired in June 2000, at the age of 69. Rey taught Art, Spanish, U.S. History, Government, and Economics. Rey graduated from Grossmont High School, in 1950, completed his Undergraduate education at San Diego State, in 1957, and his Masters Degree at Cal Western, in 1965.
