Some Things to Consider

Clothing
Appropriate clothing for the deceased includes underclothing, socks, shirt,
tie, and suit for men and underclothing, slip, stocking and dress for women.
Many families select more casual clothing which is more compatible with the
lifestyle of the deceased. The persons own clothing is often used or we have
a complete selection of dresses and suites for those who choose. Jewelry may
be used and can either be removed after the service or left on for the burial.


Casket / Marker
We have a complete selection of caskets and markers for you to choose
from. You will find it useful to decide whether you would like a hardwood
casket or a metal casket and pick an approximate color before you come in.


Visitation
You will also, with the Traditional Service, have a four hour visitaion at a
time of your choice. The visitation is a time to meet with family and friends,
there will also be a sign-in book to record attendance of the vistation and
services.

Final Disposition
Featheringill Mortuary will assist you with the selection of interment
property at any cemetery or mausoleum. Cost of different types of
interment vary greatly and we will see that you are given a complete
choice of all selections available.
