Most of us have found ourselves feeling out
of place, inadequate or uncomfortable when
someone we know dies. We often aren't sure
what to do to help or comfort the family - and
may even feel guilty because we are unable to
match the grief of those closest to the deceased.
These feelings aren't unusual. It is important
to remember that the sympathy and understanding
given at this time are of great value. Attending the funeral and offering your friendship
during the months to come will be of greater value than you may realize. The love and
concern you give will be appreciated in a way you may not fully understand until you,
yourself, have experienced a similar loss.
There are many appropriate ways to express your sympathy. If there are questions we
can answer for you at any time, please call a member of our staff.
