A Preneed is the same as Pre-Planning. It is planning your, or someone else's, funeral arrangements before death has occured. One reason to set up a preneed is to releave your loved ones of the burden of trying to figure out what you would have wanted. If your preneed is funded your loved ones don't even have the possible financial burden of paying for a funeral.

Here is an example of what happens when someone decides to make a preneed:

Funded Preneed
1. You make your funeral preferences known by meeting with a funeral director.

2. You arrange to pay for your funeral with a life insurance or trust account set up at the mortuary.
3. Our mortuary provides all designated services and merchandise at the time of need.
4. Proceeds from your Insurance/Trust Plan may be paid directly to the mortuary.

Non-Funded Preneed
1. You make your funeral preferences known by meeting with a funeral director.
2. Our mortuary keeps your records on file.
3 . Services and merchandise provided will be paid by your family or out of your estate at the time of need.
