Alma Adele Blauvelt

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Alma Adele Blauvelt, age 94, on April 11, 2025. She died peacefully after battling the advanced stages of dementia. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Allie moved to San Diego in 1966 where she raised her young family. She is proceeded in death by Howard Collier, Harry Parks, and Bruce Blauvelt. She is survived by her two children, James (Laura), Nancy (John), five grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Her life was filled with the joy of family, a love of big band music, and country western dancing with dear friends Ken and JoAnn. A private internment ceremony will be held at Fort Rosecrans for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a small donation to Alzheimer’s San Diego.
