Amado Rabang Alaysa Sr.

October 15, 1948 – August 24, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Amado Rabang Alaysa Sr., who peacefully passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 77.

Amado was born on October 15, 1948, in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines, to Julian Renolo Alaysa and Flocerfina Gallaretta Rabang. He grew up surrounded by family, carrying with him the values, traditions, and love that would remain an important part of his life.

On May 5, 1992, Amado moved to the United States, beginning a new chapter in his life. Leaving his homeland was a major step, but he embraced the opportunity to build a future for himself and his family. Through hard work, perseverance, and dedication, he created a home where his family could grow and where many wonderful memories were made.

Amado was a man who valued family above all else. He found joy in being surrounded by the people he loved and took pride in watching his children and grandchildren grow. He was a devoted husband to Myrna, a loving father to Joenar, Michael, Francisco, Amado Jr., and Flordelena, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.

To his family, Amado was more than a husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was someone they could look to for love, guidance, and support. His presence brought a sense of togetherness to family gatherings, and the memories shared with him will be treasured for generations to come.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, his strength, his generosity, and his love for his family. The simple moments spent together—conversations, meals, celebrations, laughter, and time surrounded by loved ones—are the memories that will remain closest to their hearts.

Amado leaves behind a beautiful family who will continue his legacy. He is survived by his spouse, Myrna; his children, Joenar, Michael, Francisco, Amado Jr., and Flordelena; his grandchildren, John Michael, Emilia Ann, Kyle Deenly, Johanna Michelle, Jayden, Francis Jay, Kassandra, Mark, Paul Henry, Kyla Sheen, and Micaela Ellen; and his great-grandchild, Princess Norhana.

He is also survived by his siblings, Eddie, Dominga, Andy Sr. (his twin brother), Evelinda, Emalyn, Cynia, Julian Jr., Ramon, and Tess, as well as his daughters-in-law and sons-in-law, Irma Rafanan Alaysa, Allen Garrison Mutchler, Beth Alaysa, Kathleen Alaysa, and Amado De La Cruz, along with his extended family, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law.

A Journey Home

Amado's journey began in San Narciso, Zambales, Philippines, the place he called home at the beginning of his life. After spending many years building a life and raising his family in the United States, his final journey will eventually bring him back to where it all began.

His cremains will later be brought home to the Philippines, returning him to the land where his life began and where his roots remain. It is a meaningful homecoming—a return to his birthplace and to the land that will forever be a part of his story.

Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Amado's life was filled with love and that his legacy will live on through the family he cherished so deeply.

Amado may no longer be physically with us, but his love, his memories, and the lessons he shared will remain in our hearts. Every family story, every photograph, and every cherished memory will keep a part of him alive.

He was loved deeply. He will be missed beyond words. And he will never be forgotten.
