Andrew Allan Davis

August 11, 1955 — July 5, 2024

Andrew Allan Davis sadly passed away on July 5, 2024. He was born prematurely on August 11, 1955, in Wichita, Ks to Hosea Oscar Davis and Retha Ann Davis. He said his parents were tough and old fashion. His father was a pastor of a church that he built with the help of his sons. He and his brothers were bought up working most of his childhood. As newspaper carriers, they were able to develop the skills of customer relationship and being a service to others at a young age.

Andrew went to Wichita North High School and then he got a job at Boeing Military Airplane Company. He worked for 9 years there as a Tool and Die Finisher and various other duties. He married Monica Warren in 1983 and he had 3 children: Mia, Andrew Jr and Curtis Davis. He was married for 41 years. He had 4 grandchildren: Veronica and Angela Laicer and Makai & Keoni Davis .

Andrew is preceded in death by parents, Hosea & Retha Davis, Brothers: Nathaniel Leroy Davis, Hosea Davis Jr and Sister: Vanessa Williams. He is survived by his wife, Monica Davis, daughter Mia Davis and sons, Andrew (Jenna) Davis Jr, Curtis Davis. Brothers: Kenneth Eugene (Helen) Davis, Phillip (Gloria) Davis, Joel (Stephanie) Davis & sisters: Regina (Emeka) Ogbonna, Brenda (Elliot) Brunt, Elizabeth Carter. Half Sister, Eleanor Walker & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He joined the Navy in 1985 As a Yeoman (Administrative Assistant). He served for 20 years. He did active duty for 10 years and then 10 years Navy reserves. He was discharged honorably. He also went to several business and community colleges throughout his years. He was always learning and always working. He was always a very hard worker and if he lost a job, he was always able to get another job. Andrew was very outgoing. He would talk to anyone who was near him, and he was always the loudest voice in the room. He would always tell you the same stories over and over again. He liked to be the center of attention. He loved to laugh. But towards the end, his voice was silent. Andrew loved to go to church, watching sports, traveling, walking, relaxing, spending time with family, listening to music and playing trumpet. He also loved taking care of his dog Shadow, who preceded him in death in 2022. Shadow's passing really affected him.

 Andrew will be truly missed!
