Angeline Strommer

Angeline Strommer passed away peacefully on April 10, 2026. She lived to be over 98 years old. She was born in Rockford, IL on August 27th, 1927. Angeline was the sixth child out of 8 to her parents Stephen and Maime Albano, Italian immigrants, who came to America in the 1910's by ship. They settled in Illinois where they raised their children. The Albano's, with Josephine, Angeline and Ruth moved to La Mesa, California in 1952.

Angeline had several jobs. She worked as a supervisor at Luckys Grocery, as a telephone operator, and a bookkeeper at General Dynamics until she decided to become a Real Estate agent in 1983. She spent 40 years in the industry, winning awards and recognition for her sales. She worked until she was 95 years old! Angeline was a world traveler and enjoyed missions trips with her church to Moldova. Angeline taught Sunday school, took golf lessons, planned trips around the country and took her grandkids along. Angeline was a devoted mother and grandmother, aunt and sister.

Angeline is survived by her son, Allen Strommer Sr and her sister Ruth Pipitone, 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 8 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her sisters Josephine Albano, Katie Taylor, her brothers John, Sam, Stephen and baby Gaetano, and her nephews Mark Pipitone and John Pipitone and many many great niece's and nephew's.
