ANNA GRACE TILGER
NOVEMBER 10, 1935 - OCTOBER 7, 2022
Anna transitioned peacefully on October 7 in her home at Lantern Crest Seniors Independent Residence at Santee, CA. She was born in Muenster, Texas on November 10, 1935 to her parents Edward "Bud" Fette and Katherine "Kate" Knabe.
She graduated from Muenster High School in 1953 and entered St Joseph's School of Nursing in Fort Worth, Texas.She received her nursing diploma in 1956 and immediately began her professional nursing career of more more than fifty years. She shared her care and compassion for many - from birth to old age, for most of her life.
In 1957 Anna married Bill Tilger, of Trenton Texas. They recently celebrated their sixty-five years of union.
They have three children - Matthew Tilger of Olympia, WA with wife Amee, Catherine Larive with husband Tim of Phoenix, OR and Maggie Tilger of San Diego, CA. Over their married lifetime their family has grown to eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Anna's greatest joy was her ability to brighten up the lives of others with whom she came in contact. She was known at her home at the Lantern Crest residence for her humor. She will be greatly missed by her numerous relatives and friends.
Anna's Memorial and Celebration of LIFE will be held at First United Methodist Church of San Diego, in the Trotter Chapel. It is Scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2022.
The family wishes to honor Anna with a request for a contribution, to either Mission Hospice or the First United Methodist Church of San Diego.
