Ardine Carol Keaton

Ardine Carol Keaton, 89, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on March 8, 2026, in Santee, California.

Ardine was born on October 29, 1936, to Edgar J. and Grace A. Chamberlain.  She grew up with her siblings , brother Dale (June) Chamberlain, who preceded her in death, and sister Diane (Keith ) Blomstrom.

Through mutual friends, Ardine met the love of her life, William C. Keaton.  The two were married on November 2, 1958, and shared many wonderful years together until William's passing on March 2, 2002.

Ardine was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished time spent with her family.  She is survived by her three children:  Kenneth (Marijoyce) Keaton, Brian (Melody) Keaton, and Kelly (Brian) Patterson.  She also leaves behind five grandchildren--Amy, Tyler, Shaun, Brent, and Allison--and five great-grandchildren:  Rhett, Harper, Keaton, Bryson, and Alaya. 

An avid sports fan, Ardine proudly supported her local teams, the San Diego Padres and the SDSU Aztecs.  She was especially proud of her time working for and retiring from the San Diego Padres, often saying it was the best job she ever had!

Ardine will be remembered for her warm spirit, deep love for her family, and the joy she found in cheering on her favorite teams.  Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:00am at Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary, 4300 Imperial Avenue, San Diego, CA. 92113.
