Charles Edward Young

A man who loved many!!

Charles Young was also known as “Chuck”. He left behind his wife Linda and two children Christine and Michael as well as adopted children Jenny and Reina !

He was born in Southern California but was raised primarily in Desert Hot Springs at the age of 14 moved with his family to Morongo Valley went to school at 29 Palms High and met his best friend and wife Linda. They married March 25, 1973 at the Church of The Lighted Cross now known as Calvary Road fellowship in Morongo Valley.

Chuck was a man who loved with his whole heart! Ministered in music. If you knew him, you knew him by his love for people and his love for music.

He loved dad jokes. He was one who would like to sing over you. To love on you with music and he connected with you on many different ways.

One of the things that he would joke about when he was in the band holy smoke was too slow it down and put a flute solo in it because he loved his flute, just as much as he loved playing his piano he has a life of ministering in different churches, and playing in a band and traveling around Southern California!! 

From his great great grandfather Hess who prayed over his lineage that they would know the Lord. His grandmother who always prayed for him that he would know the love of the Lord and he continued that not only for his own family but with the people around him!!

Unfortunately due to long term health issues he passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in San Diego, CA. on May 3, 2023 at about 9:20 pm.
