Diane Apodaca

Diane Apodaca age 84 passed away on Tuesday December 2, 2025 with her children by her side. Diane was born February 4, 1941 in Long Beach, California to Dale and Florence Gourd.

Diane was an avid reader and had a library membership her whole life; she would rise at 5:00 a.m., make a cup of coffee, sit in her kitchen and read one book every week. She favored road trips over airplane travel and her favorite travel destination was the state of Arizona. She adored her grandchildren and never forgot a birthday, graduation, or special occasion. She would always visit if someone was sick and was a great babysitter for her grandchildren. Diane shopped garage sales and loved a great bargain she also enjoyed her yard and garden; her favorite T.V. show was 90 day fiancé. She will be missed by all.

Diane is survived by her brother Robert and sister Sheri; daughter Debbie (Dean); sons Chris (Linda) and Marc; grandchildren Paolo (Jess), Joseph, Julia (Lance) and Jacob (Lam). Diane was preceded in death by her husband Carlos.

A service is scheduled at Diane’s home in Spring Valley on Saturday December 20, 2025 at 12:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Curebound, the American Cancer Society or the Rancho San Diego Library in Diane’s name.
