Dale Lee Conklin

Dale Lee Conklin passed peacefully at home on Easter Sunday March 31, 2024.  He was born in San Diego, California: Son of Dale Donovan Conklin and Jewell Bernice Morris and brother of David Allen Conklin 

Dale grew up in Iowa, Hawaii, and San Diego, graduating from Hoover High School in 1954. Dale incorporated his company, Conklin Acoustics, in 1968 and was a noted subcontractor in his field. He was a board member of a National Trade Organization, and was respected among his peers for his honesty and integrity.

Dale and Carol spent much of their free time traveling the world together.  A highlight for them was the regular trips they took with their grandchildren.  They were able to see places like Canada, the Caribbean, national parks, and places across the US.  Dale’s grandchildren were the light of his life and they spent time with him and helped care for him as his health declined.  This time together created lifelong memories.

Dale leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Carol, his sons Steven Lee, Boyd Stewart, Bryan Dale Conklin; stepdaughters Stephanie Anyaji and Sara Downs; grandchildren Isabel, Madeline, and Joshua Anyaji,  Ella and Zachary Downs, Mallory Conklin Abrams, Tierney Conklin Hoffman, Ciara, Declan, Torrey, Paul Conklin and greatgrandchildren.  

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am, at Foothills United Methodist Church, 4031 Avocado Boulevard, La Mesa, CA 92924.
