Donald Giesing, born 3-6-34 at home in San Diego, the 5 th of 11 children born to Katherine and Alban Giesing. He married Josephine Maloney in 1962 and together they raised 4 children, Maureen (Pat) Blomberg, Therese (Bob) Springs, Donald (Michele) Giesing and Bernadette (Mark) Welle. He is survived by his wife and children, 8 grandchildren and 6 siblings. After service in US Marine Corps, he graduated from University of San Diego and worked for 35 years for County of San Diego in Social Work Case Management. He died July 9, 2021 in the care of his family.

Services will be at St Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Poway, July 29 at 10 am
