She was the second child born to Lenard Moore and Velma P. Moore. Dorothy was born in Houston, Texas and moved to San Diego in 1978. She met Thomas Cooper in 1995.
She has two sisters: Debbra Denise Moore of San Diego, CA and Phyliss Ann Barbara of San Diego, CA
She has four brothers: Lenard J. Moore of Colorado Springs, CO; Anthony C. Moore of San Diego, CA; Vincent E. Moore of San Diego, CA; and Terrance Moore of San Diego, CA.
Dorothy L. Anderson joined The Revelation Church of God under Bishop Samuel D. Hill in 1996.
