It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Elias Castro, who went to be with the Lord at the age of 83.

Born and raised in La Unión, El Salvador, Elias lived a life rooted in faith, family, and love. He devoted many years of his life to serving as a pastor alongside his wife, Matilde Castro, spreading the Word of God and guiding others in their spiritual journey. His love for church and praising every Sunday was at the very heart of who he was.

Elias also found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching soccer, Animal Planet, Pit Bulls & Parolees, classic shows like Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Three Stooges, and the comedy of Cantinflas. His laughter and lighthearted spirit shone brightest when he was surrounded by family. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and especially adored his great-granddaughters, lovingly calling them “las niñas.”

Elias was surrounded by loved ones in his final moments, a reflection of the deep bonds he created throughout his life. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his kindness, his humor, and the love he poured into his family.
