Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Elizabeth C. Cayanan, who peacefully entered eternal rest on July 7, 2026, was born on August 27, 1947, in the Philippines to her late loving parents, Abelardo and Gregoria Casupanan. She was the second of nine children, and among her siblings was her late sister, Gregoria Casupanan. Elizabeth later married her beloved husband, the late Engr. Genaro P. Cayanan, and together they were blessed with three children, Grace, Gerry, and Genelyn.

As a wife and mother, Elizabeth devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, creating a home filled with love, guidance, and unwavering care and support. Her greatest joy was seeing her children grow and knowing that they carried the values she instilled in them. Through her unconditional love, countless sacrifices, and steadfast faith, she built a strong foundation that continues to hold her family together and will live on through generations.

Elizabeth spent a meaningful chapter of her life as a high school English teacher, where she shared her knowledge, patience, and compassion with her students. Although teaching was only one part of her journey, it reflected the same qualities she carried throughout her life: the desire to guide, nurture, and help others grow.

Elizabeth’s caring heart extended beyond her immediate family. Through her gentle spirit, patience, and genuine concern for others, she became a cherished presence in the lives of the children and families she cared for. She was lovingly known as “Mommy Beth”, "Oma" and “Lola Beth”, names that reflected the love, comfort, and care she gave so freely. The meaningful connections and memories she created will forever be treasured.

Elizabeth’s faith in God was unwavering and immeasurable. Throughout life’s joys and trials, especially during her courageous battle with cancer following her diagnosis in 2019, she found strength, peace, and comfort in the Lord. She trusted in His guidance, held on to His promises, and faced each day with grace, strength, and courage. Her steadfast faith was an inspiration to her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Left to cherish Elizabeth’s loving memory are her children, Grace, Gerry, and Genelyn, and her children-in-law, Paul Vincent, Vanessa Joy, and Thomas, who became a treasured part of her family; her grandchildren, Gerryn Venisse, Isabella Dominique, Genary Joseille, and Timo, who brought her the greatest joy; her siblings, Norma, Rebecca, Filomena, Fernando, Veronica, Abelardo, and Emanuel; and her extended family and dear friends who will continue to honor the love, faith, and kindness she shared throughout her life.

A memorial service celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held on August 17, 2026, at Featheringill Mortuary Chapel from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to gather in prayer, remembrance, and thanksgiving for the beautiful life she shared with all who knew and loved her. The livestream link will be available on this page on the day of the service.

May Elizabeth rest peacefully with the Lord. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and always remembered.
