Frank was everyone's friend. He could build lifelong friendships with strangers in a grocery store line. He was personable, funny, and musically talented. He would mix and stir ice cream, coffee and syrup together and call it a healthy smoothie. It's not just what he would mix together, but how he would stir it--only family knows what this means.
Frank also had his stubborn and moody side and he suffered with addiction. But he was always a good, protective older brother to his sisters, a loving uncle to his niece and nephew and our brother Joe's best friend.
After suffering a traumatic brain injury, Frank endured a long battle back to health. Frank then moved to an assisted living facility where, of course, he thrived. He not only found a sense of community (as he could anywhere), but he found the love of his life, Cindy. The were inseparable. All of the staff at the faciility knew and loved Frank, and he was always so proud to introduce his family to them every time we'd visit. Proudly, he lived the remainder of his life addiction free.
Frank is survived by his brother Joe, his sisters, Lolita, Naida and Stella, his niece, Justine, his nephew, Tyler and his fiancé, Cindy.
Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to a small gathering to celebrate Frank's life at Filippi's Pizza Grotto, located at 82 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91911.
Frank - We've had such a life with you. Rest easy. Say hi to papa and mama. We love you and will miss you forever.
