Gloria Allyn Lane

Gloria Allyn Lane, 87, of San Diego, passed away on August 14, 2025, peacefully alongside her children.

Born in Lemmon, South Dakota in 1938 to Lewis C. Leveille and Florence S. Leveille Carlson in a small farming town alongside her grandparents. She grew up in Everett, Washington graduating from Everett High School in 1956 before attending some college and going to work at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego (MCRD) for close to 30 years.

Gloria was a devoted mother to LeRoy, Cynthia (Cyndy) and Cheryl, which were her pride and joy. She always said each of them were a blessing, changed her life for the better, and was felt in her love and unwavering support.

Gloria took special joy in attending the San Diego First United Methodist Church as a member for over 60 years and had fond memories of singing in the choir and volunteering in many areas.

Gloria was preceded in death by Lewis Leveille (Father), Florence Leveille Carlson (Mother), Arthur Leveille (brother), Kenneth Leveille (brother), Eva Leveille (wife of Gerald) and is survived by Richard Leveille (brother) & Theresa (Terry) Leveille (wife), Gerald Leveille (brother), Charlene Leveille (sister-in-law & widow of Kenneth Leveille), LeRoy Patten (Son) & Debbie Patten (wife), Cynthia (Cyndy) Kolek (daughter) & Robert (Bob) Kolek (husband), Cheryl Patten (daughter), Alexis Patten (granddaughter) Roman Kakos (great grandson) Rex Kakos (great grandson) Kamille Patten (great granddaughter), Joseph Kolek (grandson) & Zuly Kolek (wife), Lillian (Lilly) Kolek (great granddaughter), Michael Kolek (grandson) & Dakota Kolek (wife) who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:00pm at the San Carlos United Methodist Church 6554 Cowles Mountain Blvd, San Diego, CA 92119, and the celebration of life will be held following at 4772 Greenbrier Avenue, San Diego, CA 92120.
