Harold Lage passed away on Tuesday, August 6th. He was 94 years old. He was a great man who lived a good life.
Harold was born in Lapeer Michigan to Herta and Otto Lage. He was the oldest of 3 children.
Harold had a great sense of humor. And he was notorious for his playful antics. He would flirt with the nurses, receptionist, physical therapist and even the doctors if they were female. He loved to make people smile or laugh.
Harold loved his family and friends. He loved the family get togethers. Which always seemed to get bigger each year. There was always storytelling and laughter. Harold was a great storyteller. (Most of them were true.) He was still telling the same stories that he told to his kids, to his great grandkids; And the stories stayed the same, they didn’t change.
Harold never hesitated to help others. If he was able, he would help. He didn’t expect to be paid but he never turned down homemade goodies.
Harold was survived by his 7 children: Christine, Diana, David, Marlene, Barbara, Nancy and Carl. And his 15 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
As we bid farewell to Harold; let us remember him not in sorrow but with fondness and celebration for the joy he brought into our lives. May he rest in peace knowing his legacy of love and laughter lives on in those who were fortunate enough to know him.
