Jaime C. Guzman Sr., 58, passed away on May 25, 2025, in San Diego, California. Born on May 17, 1967, Jaime was a proud graduate of Edison High School and spent his life dedicated to serving others with sincerity and devotion.
Jaime was deeply committed to uplifting those around him. He devoted much of his time to supporting the Native American community, assisting the homeless, and contributing to local schools. His hard-working nature and easygoing spirit made him a joy to be around and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Jaime is lovingly remembered by his wife, Brenda Guzman; his children, Jacenia Johnston (Benjamin), Jaime Guzman Jr., and Julian Guzman (Briana); and his cherished grandchildren: Jaime Angel Guzman III; Samantha, Nicholas, Elijah, Abigail Johnston; and Alina and Donovan.
He is also remembered by his siblings: Frank Guzman, Rolando Guzman, Bella Mapeso (Ryan) Mapeso, and Gustavo Chapa (Cassandra). His extended family includes nephew Anthony Guzman; grandnephews Noah, Ezra, and Kyro Guzman; beloved niece Tahlia Guzman; and many others whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace R. Chapa, Tio Alcario Chapa and Tio Jesse Chapa.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church Hall, located at 1002 W 8th Street, Stockton, CA 95206. There will be Chumash blessing by Elder Julie Tumamait Stenslie.
Jaime’s legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
