Janet Ruth Ball

Janet Ruth Ball, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Aunt passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 2nd, 2025. A mother’s love is the greatest gift we receive. Her family was blessed to have such a caring and loving mother.

Born on March 19th, 1940 in Dallas Texas, Janet was born a true Country Girl. Throughout her life she had a passion for country music, dancing, animals, attending and watching rodeos, painting, sewing, all things Disney and the Dallas Cowboys. Known affectionately by Jan to her friends and family, and “Grandma Nan” to her grandchildren.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Jamie Luke, son Ronald Ball Jr, son-in-law Jon Harrison, and grandchildren Ashley Luke and Charles Luke III. She is also survived by her sisters (Gerry, Josie, and Clydine). Janet’s family and friends will always remember the smiles, tears, teachings, laughter, and beautiful moments they shared together.

She is preceded in death by her parents (Clyde L. Renfro and Ruth A. Renfro) and siblings (Diane, Sharon, Robert, Lenny, and Denny).

"The last goodbye's the hardest one to say. This is where the Cowgirl rides away. Forever In Our Hearts.” She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
