Jennifer Lynn Semper

May 13, 1968 — December 30, 2023

Surrounded by family members and close family friends, Jennifer Semper passed away peacefully at the age of 55 on December 30th.  She was born to parents Rogelio and Betty Semper.

Jennifer is survived by her father Rogelio, sister Julie, brother Joel, sister-in-law Katherine and nephews Rainen, Kevin and Justin.

Jennifer lived a full life despite having Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder.  Although there is no cure, Jennifer was able to participate in day programs through Community Options and the La Mesa Work Center.  She definitely enjoyed eating her mom's home cooking and baked treats, and traveled to such places as Great Lakes, South Carolina, and even the Philippines.  She also enjoyed family gatherings during trips to Sacramento, San Jose and Los Angeles.

The Semper Family would like to thank the staff at Paradise Valley Hospital, Together Hospice, San Diego Regional Center, Serenity Home Care, and Harps Court Intermediate Care Facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities for their care and services.  Also, much appreciation and love for all the prayers, support and compassion provided to Jennifer from close family friends and relatives who accepted her into their lives.  Their care and attention were instrumental in helping us raise Jennifer to the best of our abilities and allowing her to enjoy the things that meant the most to her while providing her with the best quality of life as possible.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  A private service will be held at the family's discretion.
