Joseph Richard (Dick) Eversman 85, of San Diego California, died Wednesday January 26,2022.
He was born on March 24,1936, in Burlington Iowa, the son of George and Katherine (Hagerty) Eversman.
He was a graduate of St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa and the college of law of the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
Dick served in the US Army from 1960 - 1965. He practiced law for 42 years. His law practice was conducted in Burbank and Anaheim California, before settling down in San Diego, where he practiced law for 30 years.
Dick is survived by his brother John of West Lake, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Kathleen (Peggy) Howells, his sister Susan Danielson, and his brother George Henry II. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews along with countless great nieces and nephews.
Dick was an active member, as well as an usher, at St. Joseph Cathedral in San Diego. There will be a mass celebrated in Dick’s honor next week. His final resting place will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Burlington, Iowa.
