Karen Ann Steinert

Karen Ann Steinert, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on September 2nd, 2024 at the age of 79. She was born on November 23, 1944, in Lebabon, Conneticut. She was the middle sister of five; Cordilla, Joan, Debbie and Charlie. Growing up she and her siblings worked on the family daily farm. Once she graduated High School she joined the Air Force and served as Nurse. This is where she met the love of her life. Her sense of adventure in taking skydiving lessons introduced her to Richard Steinert. They dated every day after meeting and got married a month later. On November 5th, 1966. They were happily married for 57 years. They moved to San Diego in January 1967, where she fulfilled her career as a Registered Nurse for 40 years. They had two lovely daughters Jennifer and Jessica. She was also a grandmother to 4 amazing grandchildren, Tyler, Amber, Nathan and Marcus. She loved them and was loved by her family very much. She was also loved by her friends who she treated as family. Her Kindness and enthusiasm for life was infectious. She loved the beach and enjoyed taking walks on the beach. She was adventurous and energetic. She loved to dance. She truly enjoyed all of life’s treasures. Her love and memories will live in our hearts forever.
