Kevin Michael Buck

Kevin Michael Buck, 73, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in San Diego, California, surrounded by his loving family, his wife Laurine, his brother Tom, and his three children, Sarah, Bridget, and Adam.

Kevin was born on August 10, 1952, in Venezuela to James and Joan Buck. He was raised in Orange County, California, alongside his sister Kelly and brother Tom.

He built a long and successful career in the television industry, working in post-production in Hollywood. Kevin had a deep love of learning and was an avid reader, which gave him a wealth of knowledge he eagerly shared with others. He was well traveled, exploring both the United States and destinations around the world, always appreciating new experiences and perspectives.

Kevin was a proud Democrat who never missed an opportunity to engage in thoughtful and often spirited political discussions. He married Laurine Stockton in 1975, and together they built a life centered on family, raising their children in Santa Clarita, California. He was a dedicated and involved father, balancing a full-time career while remaining present in the busy lives of his three children.

In later years, one of his greatest joys was being a papa. He is survived by his four grandchildren, Ava, Aria, Whittaker, and Wells, who brought him immense pride and happiness over the past 12 years.

Kevin was also a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and had the special experience of watching them win back-to-back World Series championships, even attending a World Series game with his family in 2025, a memory he cherished.

He will be remembered for his intellect, his passion for conversation, his love of family, and the wisdom he generously shared with those around him.

A celebration of life will be held in Southern California on August 15th.

He will be deeply missed.
