Maria Alicia Lopez Robinson

Maria Alicia Lopez Robinson passed away on June 21, 2026, in El Cajon, California, just two days before her 86th birthday. She lived a beautiful life rooted in faith, family, friendship, and service to others.
Born on June 23, 1940, in Mexico, Alicia was the beloved daughter of Jose Lopez and Maria Elena Choza Lopez, who preceded her in death. She was a devout Catholic and a faithful member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in El Cajon, where her faith remained the foundation of her life.
Alicia was known for her kindness, generosity, and strength. She loved the outdoors and found joy in gardening, walking, traveling, music, volunteering, and spending time with her Ladies’ Bible Study group. She treasured her many friends, whom she considered family.
She enjoyed a successful career with Comps and 3M, where she served as an Accounts Receivable Manager and later as Public Relations Manager before retiring after many years of dedicated service.
Alicia was deeply committed to philanthropy and community service. As President of Las Damas Latinas, she dedicated countless hours to charitable work, leading with grace, compassion, and an unwavering desire to improve the lives of others.
Above all, Alicia cherished her family and leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, faith, and unwavering devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Paul Robinson; her parents, Jose Lopez and Maria Elena Choza Lopez; and her siblings, Victor Lopez and Armida Lopez Spell.
She is lovingly survived by her nephew, Adam Spell and his wife, Stephanie Spell, and their children, Max and Olivia; her niece, Marcie Banks and her husband, Kevin Banks, and their sons, Bladen and Blake; along with many cherished relatives and lifelong friends whom she considered family.

In accordance with Miramar National Cemetery’s arrival procedures, family and friends are kindly asked to arrive by 1:45 p.m. to allow sufficient time for entry and seating before the 2:15 p.m. committal service begins.
Following the mass & committal service, family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of Life Reception honoring Alicia, beginning at 3:30 p.m.

The reception will be held in the Captain’s Lounge, located within the World War I French farmhouse replica, where family and friends may gather in remembrance.
Upon arrival, guests are kindly asked to inform the host that they are attending Alicia Robinson’s Celebration of Life and will be graciously directed to the reception.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, In Alicia's memory.
