Mary Elizabeth Bazukiewicz

Mary Elizabeth Bazukiewicz passed away on August 2, 2021 in San Diego California after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Mary was born in New Rochelle, N.Y. on November 1,1953 to Joyce (Gorman) and Vincent Bazukiewicz. Mary graduated from St. Gabriel’s High School and SUNY Cortland. Always a free spirit, Mary moved to San Diego after college.
She is survived by her long time partner Steve Young and her loving sisters, Anne DeFino (Ralph), Joyce Bakker (Jack), Meg Lewis (Steve) and Jayne Cassidy (Kevin). She also leaves behind her nieces, Lauren Couto (Chris), Kerby Anne Cabrey (Andrew), Kerry Cassidy and Tracey Lewis who will remember that they are beautiful, “Just like their Aunt Mary!”. Her nephews Stephen Lewis (Aycan) and Mark DeFino (Kristen) will always remember her fondly. She is also survived by 2 great nieces, Carly and Natalie Couto and 1 great nephew, Vincent Cabrey.
Mary was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements by Featheringill Mortuary, San Diego.
