Mary Elizabeth Wylie

Mary Wylie passed away on Aug 12, 2025, soon after her 80th birthday. Mary was a resident of San Diego, born on July 29th, 1945, and never lived further than 10 miles from her birthplace. She was an educator, spending most of her career as a Dean at Southwestern Community College. Mary enjoyed gardening, and touring the world with family and friends.                                                                                                                     

Throughout her life, Mary was involved in a variety of groups, and helping people at every opportunity. She volunteered at local schools and St. Luke's church, participated in her book club, played mahjong, attended plays at the Old Globe, and visited her extended family often. Mary had deep and loving connections throughout her community, and will be deeply missed. Mary is survived by her two sons, David and Michael, three grand-daughters Anna, Ellen, and Jessica, and her two great-grand-children Wesley and Madilyn.

Mary's Celebration of Life will be held at St. Luke's church of El Cajon                                                                                                                           on Saturday, September 13th, at 1:00 PM.
