It is with deeply saddened hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael J. Halbert, lovingly known to many as Mic, on March 11th, 2026. To say it was an honor to know him feels like an understatement. Mic lived a full and joyful life, always sharing his immense heart with everyone fortunate enough to know him.

He found his greatest joy in the company of friends and loved ones, cherishing those moments above all else. His life was marked by remarkable accomplishments—from his proud service as a military veteran to his passionate love for autocross racing—he poured his entire heart into everything he embraced.

Dad, your absence will be felt every day, but your spirit will forever live on in our hearts and countless cherished memories. This is not goodbye, but a tender “see you later.” We will carry your love and legacy with us always.

Services will be held at Miramar National Cemetery, April 27th, 2026 at 5795 Nobel Dr., San Diego, CA 92122 at 1pm for all that would like to attend.
