Ora Donald Ralston

Ora Donald Ralston was born in Chehalis, WA where he spent his earliest years.  His family then moved to Ramona, CA where he spent much of his childhood and teen years.   This is where he met his future wife, Frosty Head, whom he married in 1964.  After high school, Don (as he was known to his friends and family) entered his 58-year career of drywall, construction and carpentry, during which time he had his own drywall company.  

Don was an exemplary husband to Frosty, who graduated to heaven in 2017.  His family, including his daughter, Cindi (married to Derek Robertson) and son, Joe (married to Charm), his five grandchildren, Sabrina, Sammi (married to Daniel Craig), Brad (married to Melinda Ball), Cole, and Sawyer, and four great grandchildren, Jakoby, Brookelyn, Aubrey, and Rizzo, meant everything to him and he took great pride in his beautiful family.

Don was known for his vibrant energy,  laughter and humor,  love for the desert and mountains, and his indomitable spirit of adventure.  Motorcycles, jet boats, dirt biking, quads, dune buggies, jet skis, snow and water skiing all played a major role in his life with family and friends.  

 He lived in Alpine from 2020, with his wife, Yvonne (Haines), whom he married in 2020, and loved sitting out on the patio, reading his Bible and watching the hawks soaring above.  He and Yvonne often took rides in his beloved truck (Chevrolet of course!) in the back hills and desert of San Diego County.
