Raymond Anthony Augustine

Raymond Anthony Augustine, born on January 23, 1959 died on February 25, 2025 after a long battle with health issues. He is survived by his mother, Diane Tomczak, her husband, James Mavrogenis, his sister, Annmarie Augustine and her wife, Amber Brewer. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Augustine and grandparents Anthony and Berniece Tomczak and Raymond and Ethel Augustine.

Ray is also survived by many relatives across the United States, and his faithful friend, David Shipley in Redondo Beach, CA.

Ray graduated Redondo Union High School in 1977. He graduated from the University of Santa Barbara with a BS and Cal State University of Long Beach with an MS in Bio-Chemistry. The last 30 years of his life were spent in the San Diego area, researching a cure for cancer. Ray enjoyed surfing, skiing, playing the guitar and loved all music, especially his favorite band, The Grateful Dead.

A Catholic memorial service will be held on June 13, 2025 at the family home in Windsor, CA. Memorial donations can be made to Catholic Charities or a charity of your choosing. Your gift of prayers is always welcome.
