Richard T. Williams was born in May of 1942, in Albany County, New York, and passed away on February 8, 2026. He was the son of Nelson E. Williams Sr. and Vera L. Farrier, and had two brothers, Nelson and Michael. In 1964, he married Isabel Williams, with whom he had three children: Cheryl, Debbie, and Rick. He was also blessed with several grandchildren (Lisa, Christina, Katie, Kendall, Sydney, Tiffani, Tony and Jake) and great-grandchildren (Hailey, Ryan, Pat and Tegan).
Rich had a distinguished military career, having transferred to the West Coast in 1973 by re-enlisting in Denver after initially being stationed in Washington, DC. He retired from the Navy in 1983 as a Master Chief Petty Officer, following his service on a ship homeported in San Diego.
Following his retirement from the Navy, Mr. Williams pursued a career with defense contractors and later transitioned to the golf industry, working at Callaway Golf. His roles primarily focused on security and investigative measures against counterfeit products. In 1984, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University.
Rich's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His unwavering dedication to his family, his country, and his work will be remembered fondly. He was a loving husband to Isabel, a devoted father to Cheryl, Debbie, and Rick, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Rich's stories, laughter, and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to his family and friends.
