Robert Lloyd Dameron, 83, of Santee, CA passed away peacefully after a short illness on July 18, 2026.
He was a loving husband to his wife of 56 years, Marie Dameron and a devoted father to his daughters, Ruth Dameron and Lisa Dameron Fischer (Paul). He was loved by his grandchildren, Allison Fischer and Nathan Fischer.
Bob was born July 21,1942 in Chehalis, Washington to Charles Otha and Emily Lloyd Dameron, the fifth of seven siblings: Richard (D), Dorothy Ramirez (D), Edith Murray, Doris Arthur (D), Adelaide Havens and Charles Edward Dameron.
He will be remembered for his unwavering faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his subtle sense of humor, easygoing demeanor, and silly antics. He lived his Christian faith daily. His Christian values were evident through his volunteer work with Stephen’s Ministry by providing a helping hand to many others in times of need. His pride in our country stemmed from his United States Navy service; especially while serving on the USS Midway during the Vietnam War.
His marriage to the love of his life Marie and his pride in his daughters were the center of his life. He and Marie raised their daughters in Castro Valley, CA where he was a precision machinist for 40 years before retiring in 2015. Because he was innovative and creative, he spent his free time tinkering with his tools in his garage. His happy place was the outdoors especially when heading to the Sierra mountains to camp and hike on family vacations. Softball was his sport whether he was coaching his daughters or cheering on his grandchildren.
