Reverend Dan is survived by;
Cathy "Honeybee" Raley, Wife, George and Phyllis Scarrow, Brother in-law and Sister, Errol and Pattie Raley, Brother and Sister in-law, Steve and Lisa Nickell, Son in-law and Daughter in-law, Bob and Debbie Raley, Son and Daughter in-law, JR and Wendy Grosman, Son in-law and Daughter in-law, Jim and Nancy Vicent, Son in-law and Daughter, Ercia Raley, Daughter, Travis Jones, Grandson, nurtured by Dan and Cathy as if he was their own, along with 12 other surviving Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Dan attended a one room schoolhouse, on Beaver Creek in Colorado. A High School graduate and attended Baptist Bible College in Denver, Colorado.
Dan grew up farming and ranching. He served in the US Air Force 1952 - 1954, he was awarded Expert Marksman and served as instructor in Atomic Warfare. He became a Carpenter and worked on the construction of the Air Force Academy, in Colorado Springs. He moved to where the work was, first to Phoniex, then to Las Vegas, Seattle and back to Las Vegas. He skill led him to become a Foreman then Superintend of construction.
Dan was ordained as a Baptist minister in 1973. He served as pastor at Aspen Baptist mission 1955-1956, College Park Baptist church 1973-1976, Mt Higgins 1976-1977, Parkdale Baptist Church 1977-1981, associate Pastor Bookcliff Baptist Church and Mission Pastor Battlement Mesa 1981-1983, Pastor Monument Baptist Church 1984-1986 and Boulder City Baptist Church 1990-2003. Retired and served as interim Pastor where needed.
Dan and Joyce were foster parents to 66 children and they adopted two girls.
