Roger Divina Dorado, born on July 4, 1940, in Prieto Diaz Sorsogon, Philippines, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, in San Diego, California, surrounded by his loving family. Tatay Roger was a caring, supportive, and family-oriented man who always put those he loved first.

In his early years, Tatay Roger worked as a “panadero" (baker), demonstrating a strong work ethic from a young age. In pursuit of a better life for his children, he left the Philippines and worked abroad in Saudi Arabia as a poultry caretaker. This sacrifice demonstrated his steadfast determination to provide for his family and set a foundation of perseverance and responsibility.

One of the memories our family cherishes most is hearing Tatay Roger call out to his grandchildren as they played outside, “Uwi, uwi, uwi!”—meaning, “Go home, go home, go home!” What was once a gentle and familiar call has become a treasured family story that continues to bring smiles through tears. It reflected his loving and protective nature, always watching over those he cared for most. Though his voice is now silent, the warmth, laughter, and love behind those words will remain in our hearts forever.

Outside his devotion to family, Tatay Roger enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in taking walks around the park, fishing at the pier, and tending to his garden where he grew various types of vegetables and fruits. These peaceful moments spent outdoors reflected his gentle spirit and appreciation for the beauty of everyday life.

Tatay Roger’s proudest accomplishment was witnessing the growth of the family he so lovingly built. From his children to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his pride in their successes was evident. Through hard work, responsibility, and resilience, he not only provided materially but also instilled lasting values that will continue to guide his family for generations.

Tatay Roger is survived by his loving daughters, Liza Pait and Dith Dorado; his grandchildren, Christine "Love" Rowe, Michal Pait, CJ, James, and Genelli Lorica, Mae, Ian, Leah, Hayden, and Ryza Dorado; and his great-grandchildren, Laken, Raleigh, and Carson Rowe. The love and strength he shared with his family will continue to be a guiding light.

Tatay Roger is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Felisa Dorado (Nanay Fely); his parents, Rustica Divina and Luis Dorado; and his sons, Raul, Rolando, and Reynaldo Dorado. Though their absence is deeply felt, his memory remains forever alive in the hearts of those who knew him.

Surrounded by his devoted family at the time of his passing, Roger has now been reunited with those who went before him. His enduring spirit and the profound impact of his life will continue to inspire and sustain his family and friends for years to come.
