Roy Fahed Shiepe

On May 3rd my beloved husband went to heaven at 98 years of age.

Roy was born in Lawrence, Massachusetts to Emily and Abraham Shiepe on April 9, 1927. A family of 10, Roy was second to last.

After stints in the Army and his service in WWII and Korean War, he returned home to finish schooling at Boston University. He then spent his working career in New Hampshire spending winters in La Jolla.

While in La Jolla he heard about a golf course Fairbanks Ranch in the works and was interested in being involved and became a founding member in 1983. It was at Fairbanks a few years later that he met his future wife Barbara (BB) as she was affectionately called.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years Barbara, her sons Jimmy and Ronnie. Nephews Larry Shiepe, Douglas Shiepe, and many more nieces and nephews. A daughter Christine Smith (Chris) and granddaughters Olivia and Lauren Smith.

A Funeral Mass at Mary Star of the Sea will be held on Wednesday May 28th at 11am.

Reception will follow at Fairbanks.
