**In Loving Memory of Sally Elmore**
Sally Elmore, a cherished daughter, devoted wife, and beloved friend, was born in Buffalo, New York, on August 2, 1927, to Santina (Miosi) Barone and Samuel Barone. She embarked on her educational journey at Cathedral Girls High School, from which she proudly graduated in the class of 1945. Following her passion for learning, she continued her studies at State College.
Sally dedicated an impressive 42 years of her career to the NAS North Island Supply Department, embodying a spirit of commitment and excellence. Her devotion extended beyond her professional life as she volunteered at the North Island Credit Union for 22 years. In recognition of her invaluable contributions, the Credit Union aptly named its branch the "Sally Elmore Branch," marking a significant milestone that brought her immense joy.
Throughout her life, Sally was an active member of various clubs and organizations, contributing her time and talents for over two decades. Her involvement with the International Toastmistress and the Islanders Club, as well as her connection with Bayside Settlement House and Holy Family Church, highlighted her passion for community service and fellowship.
A lover of the written word, Sally found solace in poetry, reading, and baking, all while relishing precious moments spent with her family. Married to her beloved husband Leonard for 45 years (now deceased), she carried his memory in her heart, missing him dearly as she navigated life without him.
Sally was preceded in death by her cherished brothers, Don Barone and Frank Barone, as well as her nephew Vaughn Barone. She is lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Anita; her nephews Damon, Daren, and Quinn; her niece Paige; her great nephews Tyler, Hayden, and Julian; and her great-niece Kendall.
In honor of Sally's legacy, donations may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Linda Vista.
Sally Elmore will be deeply missed, but her spirit, generosity, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
