Samuel Turk passed away, peacefully, at the age of 68 on December 25th, 2023, with his wife at
his bedside after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Sam was born in Steubenville, Ohio to William and Eleanor Turk on August 31, 1955. He
attended Jefferson Union High School in Richmond, Ohio. Shortly after high school, he served a
three-year enlistment in the Army. After his honorable discharge, he made his way to Southern
California and eventually settled in the San Diego area, where he met his wife, Paula.
He is survived by his wife Paula, daughters Vanessa (Michael) Sottile, Teresa (Chris) Lyon, Cara
Alves (Nick Santoro), grandchildren Brandon, Jacob, Van, Emma, his brothers Michael (Sandi)
Turk, David (Pam) Turk, as well as numerous nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his
parents and brothers Raymond Turk and Stephen Turk.
Sam’s presence will be missed by those who were blessed to know him, but his love and the
great memories of time shared together will remain in our hearts forever.
