Shirley Joann Jones
September 27, 1934 — March 13, 2022
Shirley passed away peacefully in her home looking out on her favorite view of the mountains. She was born in New Castle, CO.
In 1952 she married George and moved to San Diego. She retired from Grossmont College after 20 years as the Administrator Assistant to the President.
Shirley was an avid sports fan, supporting Aztec football, basketball and Chargers.
Survived by her husband George, children, Dennis (Darla), Merrily (David), 3 grandsons and 1 great-granddaughter and another due in June.
Our hearts mourn our loss but rejoice in our trust that she is with God and reunited with countless relatives and friends who preceded her.
A Memorial Service will be held at San Carlos United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m.
