Thomas was the youngest of three children and born to William and Laverne Chance in 1941. He married Janet Chance in May 1997 and was a Step father to Jacqueline Hill (St.Pete, Fl) , Christina Farr (San Diego, Ca) and Donald Farr (Chamberberg, Pa). Grandfather to Paris, Delany and Annabelle.
Thomas joined the Navy at age 18and served for four years. After the service he went into the Copier Field polling and repairing them.
Thomas loved going to Padre games, Camping, Dancing, going on vacation and visiting family.
