Timothy J. Morrow

Timothy J. Morrow passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, in San Diego, California, with his wife by his side. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Robert and Dorothy Morrow. Tim moved to Brooklyn, Ohio at age twelve and showed remarkable leadership from a young age. He served as a Safety Patrol Captain, Student Body President, and proudly earned the rank of Eagle Scout.

Tim served his country in the United States Navy and, upon discharge, built a distinguished career in the defense industry. Over three decades, he contributed his expertise to multiple defense contractors, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the Department of Defense. His work supported critical government programs, including Naval flight simulators, communication systems, interoperability initiatives, and secure and reliable network development. Known for his extraordinary technical skill and unwavering commitment to excellence, Tim was a trusted leader and mentor whose guidance shaped careers, strengthened teams, and left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with him.

Tim’s passions were wide-ranging - family, cooking, community service, camping, traveling, history, motorcycles, and competitive shooting. He was especially proud to serve as a Range Safety Officer alongside his brothers in arms at South Bay Rod & Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne; his sister, Deborah (Robert) Benson; his brothers- and sisters‑in‑law, who loved him as their own; eleven nieces and nephews; and his grandniece and grandnephew. Tim adored his wife, Joanne, and treasured the extraordinary marriage they shared. Their love was steadfast, joyful, and deeply rooted - a true partnership that shaped his life and brought him immeasurable happiness.

Tim will be remembered not only for his accomplishments, but for the way he lived—with kindness, integrity, and a steady, genuine warmth that made others feel valued. His presence brought trust, comfort, and strength to those around him. He was deeply loved, and his legacy lives on in the many people whose lives he touched.

Celebrations of Life will be held in Pennsylvania and Ohio. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Fisher House San Diego, a home away from home for military families experiencing a medical crisis. Tim was a long-time volunteer at Fisher House. https://connect.fisherhouse.org/timmorrow
